Global clinical research to accelerate the fight against malaria

Noul’s miLab pursues the best performance among malaria diagnostic devices ever released. In the global antimalarial effort, accurate diagnosis is the most important starting point. To this end, Noul is conducting global clinical research with world-class research institutes, WHO FIND, The Earth Institute-Columbia University, University of Notre Dame, University of Basel, Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Ethiopia Clinical Research Results

A primary clinical research was conducted in Gondar, aiming at comparison of expert microscopy, local microscopy, RDT, PCR and miLab. About 000 clinical tests were conducted, and miLab showed the highest sensitivity and specificity according to the PCR results. (White Paper will be followed shortly after)

Clinical research for differentiation of four species of malaria

Clinical research is in progress in Ghana under the partnership with the The Earth Institute, Columbia University

Independent Study by WHO FIND

Noul is partnering up with numbers of global non-profit organizations including FIND, The Foundation For Innovative New Diagnostics. Together we are conducting an independent clinical research world widely starting from Sudan and Rwanda. FIND’s research is pursuing to find a new diagnostic method that can overcome the limitations of traditional malaria POC diagnostics, and innovative diagnostic solutions by Noul’s miLab’s will suggest the new possibility of replacing traditional microscopic diagnostics.

Clinical research with the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is an important institution for the management of infectious diseases including COVID-19. There are more than 500 malaria cases still reported in Korea every year. And our goal is improving the accuracy of malaria diagnosis using miLab in malaria-prone areas, as well as establishing a real-time monitoring system for patients in infected areas through miview™.
